Yesterday was Father's Day here in the US, which is about 3 months before it is observed in New Zealand. Needless to say it's helpful my parents send me a NZ calendar every Christmas because without it I'd be forgetting when it is down under. Thankfully Mother's Day in NZ is on the same day as it is here!
So yesterday we spent a nice afternoon with family where I ate one too many hamburgers and drank two too many margaritas before dozing on the couch. It's been awhile since I had a frozen margarita and let me just say they went down really easy.
I guess you could say this was my first Father's Day, even though the baby is about a month away from being born. He actually bought me a card, which is quite impressive when you consider he doesn't have a bank account. I suspect his Mum had something to do with the purchasing of a card....
